Power BI Services report body displayed multiple times base on parameter
Helo everyone,
I've created Power Bi Report Builder report which has been deployed to PB Services. What I would like to do, is changing one of the parameters from single value to multiple value. Now, for example, if someone will choose 3 values from the multiple value parameter, report body will be displayed 3 times one under another each time for the different parameter value. My question is if is it possible to do something like that with PB Report Builder and PB Services?

Dataflow Refresh error using incremental refresh
Hello,
I need to create dataflows with warehouse movemente from my ERP system. I have the gateway properly installed on a server, create connection to the ERP database (postresql) using odbc connector. It works properly with some datasets I've already upload in PBI service.
The movements are more or less 27million rows. If I try to extract them with a single dataflow I have an error (I suppose it's caused by not enough resources in the ERP database to answer the query or limitation of the odbc connector... I do not know). So I created more dataflows based on years intervals (2000-2004/2005-2009/ and so on) with a limit of 5-6millions of rows (more rows generate the error). On the last dataflow (2019-today) I set up the incremental refresh (10 years in archive and 18 months update. I have put 10 years in archive because I obviously do not want to lose the oldest movements, considering that incremental refresh is "rolling"). The problem is that refreshing this dataflow I have always the following error:

If I remove the incremental refresh the dataflows refreshes properly.
Anyone can help me with this issue?

Does MFA influence scheduled refresh?
Hi all,
I was just wondering if my companies Multi-Factor-Authentication expiration period (7 days) would influence my scheduled refreshes?
Would I have to login and reauthenticate in the service every 7 days? Is there any documentation on this?

How to duplicate a dashboard and save in another Power BI Workspace?
Dear community,
I have a Test dashboard which I want to copy / to move to another Power BI Workspace. However I do not see the option 'Dupicate dashboard' within '...More options'.
I also tried the option 'File --> Save a copy', but than I save a copy in the same Power BI Workspace and I do not know how to move it to another Power BI Workspace
Does someone have an idea how to solve? Thanks in advance!

PPU User sharing content to organization workspace?
Question: Can a PPU user publish large dataset >1 GB in the normal Workspace, build reports on top of it and share the content? Or does this large dataset has to be within his personal diamond workspace?

I would like to create a dashboard as a summary of tables / charts from different reports which are stored in different workspaces. I will create a special workspace for that purpose.
How can I create such a summary dashboard, since my understanding is that you only can link to reports in the same workspace.

From Power Bi desktop to portal, update data and configuration for beginners
Hi all,
I started using Power Bi desktop with satisfaction. I created reports by connecting to three corporate servers and 3 SQL databases.
Before upgrading to the premium version I would like to test a little bit of viewing reports on the go with the IOS app. I published the report on the Power Bi portal in my personal area, in this way I can view the report with the IOS APP on both Ipad and Iphone. The report and filters work correctly. However, the data does not update. I saw that it is necessary to download a gateway and set it up but being a beginner I did not understand how it works and I was unable to configure it even following the instructions. Should the gateway be downloaded to the local PC where I have Power Bi desktop or to the server? How is it configured? I would like to set up scheduled updates so that every time I view the report from the IOS App I find the updated data.

Maintain Same Report Across Multiple Workspaces / Apps (What's the best way?)
Is there a concept of a "linked" report (from SSRS days) in Power BI?
I want to deploy a report (PBIX or RDL) one time, in one production environment, and have it be visible in different apps that support completely different sets of users.
In other words, I want to reduce maintenance and room for error by not having to deploy a report to multiple workspaces whenever there is an update.
What is the best strategy to maintain the exact same report in different workspaces? I was thinking something with Deployment Pipelines, but they cannot have branches as far as I can tell.

Paginated Reports in Power bi service are very slow
Hello, we are using power bi paginated reports with Azure sql database Datasource. When we run report in paginated report builder it's taking 2-4 sec,but the same report taking 15-20 sec in power bi service. Can some one tell what could be the reason for slow loading in power bi service and the solution ?

Refresh Error: Refresh failed: Archive file cannot be size 0.
I am using the scheduled refresh option in powerbi service to refresh dashboard multiple times in a day. The data sources are excel files present in SharePoint. These datasets are uploaded to sharepoint through another automation script again multiple times a day. So batch script uploads files to SharePoint and then powerbi service refreshes dashboard. I get sporadic refresh failure notifications with the below error:
This happens very sporadically and with no pattern while none of the data sources are empty. Can anyone help with the possible resolution of this issue and throw some light on why this is happening? There are no content or information available on the web on this issue.

Data updated date at top of service not updating when using DirectQuery
Hello,
My data model is set to DirectQuery. The Data Updated date at the top of the Service (circled in red in the picture) is showing up as the date that I last published this report. But it is using DirectQuery, so it is constantly being updated. How can I get this Data Updated date to refresh to today's date?

Any ideas on where the error is from ? We use an enterprise gateway so I don't think it is a gateway problem.

Scheduled refresh for HDInsight source
hi, I have a requirement to connect to HDInsight data source and build out a report. I have followed the steps to create a ODBC connection to connect to the data source and built out a couple of reports.
The issue is that when I publish the the dataset to the service - the scheduled refresh setup fails as it does not recognize the credentials used for the ODBC connector setup.
Is there any additional specific setup required to schedule refreshes for HDInsight or is this a limitation at this point?

Tooltip value showing on wrong line
On my visual, the tool tip value is not showing up on the correct line. For example, in the picture below, "August" should be on the TransactionPostMonth Line but shows up on the TransactionPostYear line instead. Is there a way to force August onto the correct row of the tooltip? Any suggestions or help are appreciated.

Refresh data?
Hi!
I've been working within a .pbix desktop file and uploading it to a shared workspace (Online Service) when I'm done. My data is from an Excel file that I uploaded to OneDrive. I open the Excel file using the desktop app when I need to make changes to the data. The data will update in the OneDrive file since it automatically syncs.
I know that I can update the .pbix file on my desktop by hitting the refresh button, but how do I refresh the file in the online shared workspace?
Also, there will be a team working on this dashboard in the future. If someone else wants to edit the .pbix file will the data from the Excel sheet update if they hit refresh? I wasn't sure if the data in "Get Data" was linked to the Excel desktop app ( because I'm opening the OneDrive file on my desktop) or if it's linked to the web/cloud.

PowerBI Rest API unable to export PDF with Correct Bookmark
I'm unable to export a report with correct bookmarks when using the Rest API. I am able to get the report, but the correct filters are not set. I have been able to test my parameters using the "Power Automate" service, and I am able to obtain the report with the correct filters/bookmarks from that service.
