I have created an app workspace and I want to give access to a particular role rather than adding the members individually.
I don't see the option to add roles when i edit the workspace ? Is there any way we can do that ?

Receiving Daily Subscription Email Without Dataset Refresh
I have subscribed to 2 different pieces of content under the same Power BI Report. One of them is the dashboard which is made up of a bunch of "pinned" report visials. The other is a specific page in the report itself. The dataset is manually refreshed once per month. I have received 2 email notifications (1 for the dashboard and 1 for the report page) from Microsoft Power BI every month since the creation of this BI until 12/29/17. As of this date, I have been receiving a daily email notification just for the dashboard, not the report page. I've checked with another end user and he said he is also being notified daily. This now makes the subscription useless as now I have to go back to emailing the entire end user group every month to let them know the data has been refreshed. Has anyone else had this problem or know what is going on?
I wanted to mention that the last time the dataset was refreshed was on 12/20/17. The next time will not be until the 3rd week of Jan 2018. I have also tried to unsubscribe and re-subscribe to the dashboard, but that did not fix the issue either.

How to share content from multiple workspaces
I have searched and thought about different solutions, but still, haven't found any.
Solution 1) (ideal but doesn't work)
Pin required visuals from each of the workspaces - from my investigation, not possible at the moment.

Solution 2) (not ideal but would do the trick. also doesn't work)
Another solution would be creating multiple apps from the same workspace, meaning I would put all the dashboards into one single workspace, and generate one Warehousing APP with X Dashboards, one Logistics APP with Y Dashboards, etc, and then a CEO APP with my requirements.

Solution 3) (works)
3rd idea, that should be the only work that works so far is placing everything on the same workspace, publish one single app with the full content, and then manage everything that each of the users has access by row level security.
I really don't like this as it would look really bad for most of the users that have limited content access.
Solution 4) (works but hate it and involves a lot extra effort and duplication)
Replicating all the required reports, but this is terrible as they cannot be linked to the same dataset, meaning the schedule refresh has to run separately.
I will be delighted if someone can come with a solution for this!

Export Summarized Data?
I have a number of matrices summarizing data for business users; is there a way for the end-user to export the matrix data at the level summarized in the report?
Example:
- Columns are 2017 days, summarized by month
- Rows are Department (level 1) and then Emplyee (level 2)
- Values are hours by employee by day
If an end user tried to export the summary showing top level (depts on rows, months on columns), the summarized export still gives rows that show the daily totals by employee. I know it is a quick pivot to get back to the format, but not all business users can do this.
Tried searching for sometihng in suggestions, but to no avail.

I am not able to import the excel data into power BI service(free version...trial version has expired). Getting the message as We couldn't find any data formatted as a table.

Quickbooks Gross Profit
When using the online version of Power BI the gross profit for Customers does not report correctly. The number shows the same as the income for that customer. The gross profit is accurate at the aggregate level just not when filtered to customers. Since this version of Power BI doesn't allow for calculations, I can't figure out how to solve.

Is there a way to move dashboard created by one power bi user to another power bi user? One of the Power BI user left job and someone else replaced that person and new person needs to make changes to the dashboard.
I do have publish to web link of dashboard.

PBI Dashboard-tiles infocus link navigates to bad landing page saying "Dashboard does not exist" .
Hi,
I created a dashboard and inserted few tiles(each tile filtered by region name) .
We give the above dashboard tile infocus link to a c# tool which takes snapshot of it and sends email.
It was working absolutely fine , but now the infocus URL link lands to a bad image saying "We couldn't find that dashboard" as below and hence the snapshot taken by tool is also bad.

I was looking into the below link -

that says "Power BI for Office 365 is retired"
Can someone explain what this mean ?
I can still see Power BI is in the list of Office 365 services.
Is Power BI now maintained in Azure , instead of office 365 ? And how this will have impact to the organizations ?

If i share my dashboard to within my organisation users, they need to have pro license or free user?
For Viewing the dashboard, i dont think so they need to have pro license is it correct or not, can any body please reply.

control the display of monthly versus daily data.
Hello Community,
I have loaded 4 csv(1 is current date file, 3 is historical files) and these contains projects start date and proj no etc and i have appended all the four csv files and get latest date records only and i have loaded one more csv that contains projectno, account number and account name.
Now i have got 1 more csv file that contains project no, account no, project delivery date. I have to use this file to control the display of monthly vs daily data.
Please help me.

refresh error failed runtime assertion
I'm getting intermittent refresh failures and I'm having trouble determining if it's the service or the source data which is SQL Server. Here is the latest error message, can someone please confirm that this would likely be an error due to the source data as opposed to the service?

Setting up Power BI in my organization
My organization is planning to use Power BI as the reporting tool , mainly for operational reporting (BI reporting will come later)
Currently they have all the reports built using .NET code , and all of the core applications is using SQL Server on premises.
I understand Power BI is an azure component , so I suggested to have azure subscription. But do we also need to take office 365 subscription ? What other component that we need and can someone guide me with step by step approach to set up the Power BI (e.g. how to set up the administration , security , governance etc) , do our organization need new roles for Power BI adoption (like Power BI admin)
Also we have multiple departments spread out across the globe , how do we manage the access of reports since as I understand once a report is published to the app workspace ,anyone within the workspace can view or edit the report, so do we need separate app workspace for every department in every region. Also we have multiple environments (dev,test,prod) , how do we distinguish between the environments in Power BI?

Refreshing the underlying data from SharePoint Online List
I have a Power BI report built on SharePoint Online List data. After creating the report, I published it in Power BI and consuming it from a SharePoint Online Site page. However, whenever I refresh my page, it is not picking up the refreshed data from SharePoint Online list. I can still go in the DataSets tab and refresh the data source manually. How can i allow refreshing of data from Report?

PowerBI authentication issue "missing_federation_metadata_url"
I am using federated user account and registered on PowerBI.com and trying to embed the report into my web application using the same accoutn credentials.
When I use the sample app provided in Git hub, I facing the following error.
missing_federation_metadata_url: Federation Metadata Url is missing for federated user. This user type is unsupported.
