I discovered that members in a workspace i created can refresh reports in that workspace, connected with live connection to SSAS (tabular cube) although they are not users in that SSAS data source in the gateway.
can someone explain this behaviour? Is this the expected behaviour?

I have a Power BI apple user using the reports and dashboards online. Below is the process of how the reports get to her:
1) I have a gateway which connects power bi to a server on the SSAS cube
2) I publish the reports in packs
3) Users access the reports though 'Get Data'
For some weird reason she can only access some of the reports and the others throw the error 'Cannot connect to gateway data source' and 'Couldn't retrieve the data for this visual'. I've tried deleting all the packs and regetting the data packs but that doesnt resolve the issue. I personally can access everything. I also asked her to sign in on my microsoft pc to eliminate whether its a new hardware issue but she couldnt access those reports logged in on microsoft laptop either.
Any ideas what the issue might be?

I am having an Issue setting up the on premise data gateway on a virutal machine for our company. We are currently migrating to AWS and the dev data gateway we use has already been migrated and works fine for connecting to our dev environments. But our on premise server that has not been migrated yet is getting an error saying Revocation Information for the security certificate for this site is not available. Can anyone provide any information on this and how to correct it? Attached are screen shots.

I embed a report in my website via publish to web feature.
How can I choose (or make sure) between the different pages to be the first page?
My report have 5 pages.
Afther I embed at my website, the second page keeping showing as the first pages at the website.

When will the latest Microsoft Project Online Content Pack be available for government sites. The latest version is much richer than the previous but was removed for Gov. site prior to Christmas. The only way I can get the Content Pack to my site is to create another Content Pack but that is not editable on the receiving site.
If there is another method, please advise.

My company's firewall settings do not allow mask in the whitelist (so 'www.powerbi.com' will work but '*.powerbi.com' won't work); therefore we decieded to whitelist IP addresses instead. Our network team has whitelisted all the Microsoft Azure DataCenter IP list for the Power BI Data Gateway server according to information from this article: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/service-gateway-onprem
However, We notice this Azure Data Center IP list does not contain some of the IPs needed for PowerBI data gateway installation. For example: www.powerbi.com appears to have an IP address outside this IP list for Azure data Center, Even after we downloaded the Power BI setup file 'PowerBIGatewayInstaller.exe' (from another machine) and try to run it on the server, it tries to connect to some URL outside the IP whitelist. (the setup process tries to connect to: go.microsoft.com)
Is there a complete list of all the IPs (or full URL) we need to whitelist (on port 80 & 443) for the Power BI Data Gateway server setup? We have no idea what other sites PowerBIGatewayInstaller.exe needs to connect during the setup process.
I have a Personal Gateway. It works on other Power BI reports. Just published a new report/dataset. When I choose schedule refresh I see that it "feels" all my credentials are invalid. So I select "Edit Credentials". For most of the sources the only Authentication Method available to choose is WindowsWithoutImpersonation. So I select that and I hit sign in. And then a spinning circle of dots commences that never ends. What am I doing wrong?
Interestingly 2 of the sources (which are listed as "Web") let me choose OAuth as the Authentication Method. For those, when I hit sign in it works. It seems to be the non-Web sources (Excel files in this case) that only allow for WindowsWithoutImpersonation that are the problem.
In my Dashboard, I've got a Clustured Column Chart that uses real-time data from a Microsoft Flow.
Everytime it gets new data, it seems to re-build the chart and results in unnecessary animation. Here is a video of it happening:

Hi everyone.
For the last 4 days one of our models ( just one ) stopped refreshing on the web, and we didn't publish any changes to it since two weeks ago.
When we manually refresh it on the PowerBI no errors occur, we are able to publish it with no issues, but when we try a On Demand refresh it takes less than a minute to fail with the message
The gateway operation has been cancelled explicitly by the user or from a timeout.
Solutions that we tried:
No data issues were detected, both the old and the current version refresh just fine on the Desktop just won't refresh on the web.
We are currently out of options as the message is not very clear on what is blocking the refresh. All our other models are working fine and no changes were made to this one before it started failing.

Hi All,
I have been struggling quite a bit lately with my refreshes failing, is it possible that having different datasets refresh too close to each other could cause this? If it makes a difference, everything is being pulled from Excel and there are files that present in multiple datasets.

When publishing a dataset with BigQuery in Desktop and editing the credentials in the PBI Service, the data source credential is popping up a screen that shows basic auth rather than using the service account via OAuth. This does not work, and we can no longer authenticate to a BigQuery source in the service. Desktop is no issue.
This is Direct Query mode, FYI.
Anyone having this issue? It's broken the ability to publish datasets.

My report can completed refresh in the desktop and publish successfully, but refresh in the service failed after new year holiday.
The message is "Odata: Unable to read data from the transport connection: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.. The exception was raised by the IDataReader interface."
Could you help me to fix this? Thank you in advance!

It's been more than two years that we're using Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Mobile. It is time now to integrate PBI reports into our own applications.
We have our own platform in which pages will be dedicated for such reports and customers from different groups will be able to access them. Some of these groups might have access to specific reports others can't access.
I understand that publishing to web is the easiest way to do it but not the safest.
I was looking at Power BI Embedded and things are not very clear, especially after October changes, and this is where I need help.
I will eventually be using the solution posted here in order to embed the report in a page

But I still have concerns,
Can I do it with only a PBI Pro license or another kind of subscription needs to be bought?
Is there anything that needs to be installed on the machine on which reports are being built? What about the customers, they can easily access them without any subscription or additional installation?
If scheduled refresh is enabled, changes will immediately be reflected on the report pages within the app or will they need time to appear?
Note that people developing the reports have PBI Pro licenses but customers only have their platform credentials to log in with.

Now we want to use Power BI to build reports around these and in the end embedd them into our SaaS-application using Power BI Embedded. Because of data sovereignty the data is not allowed to leave the country or region.
How could this be accomplished in Power BI + Power BI Embedded? Do we need to deploy another Office 365-tenant in each and every region that we want to support?
I want to add the user from another domain to my Power BI Workspace. I have added that user to my Azure Active Directory as a Guest User.
I can't add that domain to a trust relationship with mine and nor add that domain to my tenant.

Currently in Power BI Admin Portal Admin can view the capacity usage measurements like CPU, Memory, Direct Queries under Capacity Settings for a capacity node.

Is there a way one can get/copy/export the list of users along with names that have access to a app workspace? Currently I provide access to users by edit workspace -> add user. At the time of add, it can find the email by name lookup but once added, we see only the email addresses in the list. This is a problem for our org as we have cryptic emails.
Wondering if there is a better way to do this.
