I have to create an URL in another application that allows me to pass Username, Password and Customer Code through that URL.
Every URL should use the same fictitious user, is that possible?

I am trying to create a dashboard from an PBIX file that i published to power bi pro online.
The PBIX contains tables from an open source website. The PBIX file (report) already contains the visuals. everyting is set to go.
When i published the report to power bi pro online i got an dataset, no report. This dataset doesn't contain the relationsships between the tabels, so now i cannot create my dashboard because every value is the same due to missing relationsships.
Is there any solution that i can create the relationship again?
Or publish my PBIX report as report so i can create my dashboard?

Can someone answer a general question on Refresh? Been looking online but getting a little confused.
If importing an excel file into Power BI just using the Power BI service (not desktop)-----can the dashboard be set up to do an auto refresh so that is captures any new updates in the excel file? or does it have to be done manually? The excel file is constantly updated throughout the day.

I have three PowerBI pro licenses for the development of dashboards, but a few of these dashboards we would like to put on our public website to interact with. Nothing internal need other than my three PowerBI pro licenses, and nothing external other than viewing and dashboard interaction, no "desktop" web functionality. What license is needed to do just this?

The desktop version of the report contained a few hidden pages.
These hidden pages became visible after publishing on the service.
However, tabs for them were not available - they came up as a front page, when report got opened.
Does anyone know what could cause this issue?

I am trying to manually refresh my dataset, but it is not working and not giving any errors. I see the "Preparing to refresh" notification for an instant, then it goes away and the dataset has not refreshed. No error message displayed.
Any help on this?

I have a paginated report which is built in Power BI Report Builder and it uses a Power BI dataset Published in a Premium workspace (Both the dataset and the paginated report in the same workspace).
I published the report as an app and I can use it without any problems. I added some individual email ids to the app and even they can access it without any issues. But when I add an email enabled security AD group to the app , the people in the AD group are not able to access the report and are getting the below error:

So my coworkers and I just started the free pro trial a few weeks back but I am having issues sharing and granting access to them. I can share it just fine, but once they access it they can't edit my reports. When I go to the list of people with access and try to change it the only options it gives is to give them read or read and reshare access, there no owner option or option to let them edit. Is this because I am on the free pro trial? Or does the company need to get the premium account?

I use the Path on a Staff table for Row Level Security ... For some reason ., one of them stopped working for some users it is totally skipping the role security ... have not found a pattern other than ... when I do a Test as Security Role on the Service it shows my login on the card I have the userprincipal() name on ... I changed the security from the security from the path contains logic to a simple email and they still do not work ... but some do ... they are both in the role list ... both have viewer access to the workspace ... Had the users actually test and they are seeing everything which is a major problem ...
When I test on the Power BI Desktop ( October Version ) , the View As Role typing the Email works ...
Any help or guidance of what to do would be helpful , the one that is broken is a high priority report

I have had a report that has been running on the PowerBI.com Service for many months using our on-premise gateway to access our SQL Server and until recently it has been running without issue, refreshing the DB 6 times a day per the Schedule.
Recently the report started Failing Refresh indicating "There's not enough memory to complete this operation". To address this, I configured the DB with Start and End Parameters, Assigned the Filter, and Turned on Incremental Refresh. When I published the Report it ran the On-demand Refresh and Completed Secusfully. However, the next refresh Failed indicating "Column 'RootID' in Table 'SPSOrderProfileAncestorSegmentView' contains a duplicate value '<pii>-2147477907</pii>' and this is not allowed for columns on the one side of a many-to-one relationship or for columns that are used as the primary key of a table."
When I Queried the Table, on our SQL Server, I found there was Only One Record with that ID Identified in the error. There is no reason why the queried table would ever have a Duplicate Key-Value and the Relationships that I have created in the Power BI Database accurately identify the SPSOrderProfileAncestorSegmentView as the "One" side of the Many Relationship.
Nothing I have tried has resolved the issue and Every Time I Publish the Report the Initial Refresh Always Completes without issue, but every subsequent refresh Fails with the same error.
How can I identify and resolve this issue?

I am quite new at power bi, so this might be a dumb query. I am trying to build a web application that embeds a power bi report which has its dataset gathering the raw data from a MySQL database. This has been made in power bi desktop and then published to power bi service.
The issue is that by design, the user of the app is able to add data (rows) to certain tables of the power bi report (it means of the dataset), however this function of "add rows" to a dataset is only available for "Push Datasets", it means, datasets created through APIs. And if I use APIs to create the Push Datasets, I wont be able to get the original data from the MySQL database since Push Datasets only allow add data by APIs.
In the other hand, is not an option to only insert the rows directly to the mysql database (actually the plan was insert the rows in both, dataset and mysql db for data consistency), since the synchronization between dataset and mysql db last about 10 minutes (large data) and the idea is that the operation is in real time for a proper user experience.
So my question is, is there any way to have a single report fed by two datasets? (a "regular dataset" fed by mysql db, and other "push dataset" fed by data push thorugh api requests). If not, is there a better aproach to accomplish what I describe?

I've created report with Mariadb live connection, published to Powerbi online (Pro license). How should I setup datasource for on permise Gateway (October 2020 update)? I'm trying to add new datasource to Gateway, but there are no Mariadb connector in list, only Mysql and report is not working, message:

I've been evaluating the Power BI service for the last few days, exploring on the different options available and here's what we are experimenting on right now:
1. The dataset is pushing to OneDrive through API everyday
2. The report is linked to the dataset in the OneDrive (I'm thinking auto-refreshed daily)
3. Currently, we have a Pro trial account and we successfully managed to embed this report in our own portal (good so far)
Here's where the hiccups start:
1. To view the report in our portal, the users are required have a Pro account as well. We have very few users who will be using this report and we don't know if it's worth the monthly cost billed to buy for each user. Any other economic way of dealing with this? (one-time subscription over something and then any number of end users to use?). Premium is out of the table because it's ridiculously unaffordable for small startups.
2. When my trial Pro account ends:
a) Will the embedded report links still work?
b) Will the auto-refresh to OneDrive still work?
That's all.

I am currently facing an issue where, in a workspace shared by a different organisation to my work account (Pro) - with "Member" access and "Owner (Guest)" on each of the reports - I am not able to pin visuals into a dashboard.
Other members within the organisation with the same permissions as I have, even if they are not the original report owner, are able to pin elements - just not my external account.
Creating a copy of existing reports or even a new report doesn't help. Any advice?

I receive the following issue on scheduled refresh of most datasets this morning. The few that are not affected seems to have in common that they are small, however they still connect to Big Query in the same way.
ODBC: ERROR [HY000] [Microsoft][BigQuery] (100) Error interacting with REST API: Not found: Job ...
The refresh works in desktop, but fails in service. Yesterday I upgraded one of the workspaces to new experience however datasets from other workspaces fail as well (and datasets refreshed worked after the upgrade). I have seen this issue mentioned before but with no real solution. It's mentioned that the region might have something to do with it. The data in BQ is in europe-north1.

I created a report by conecting to an xls file in Power Bi Desktop and published the same to Service.
Now the requirement is, client provides a source file in xls format on monthly basis and that needs to be incorporated/appended in the report from Power BI Service itself. But the conditions from users are:
1. Do not open/touch the report in Power Bi Desktop to append the new file.
2. Do not open/touch the xls file to append the current month data
How we can append the data on monthly basis without touching the source file or report in Desktop. Everything should be automated without any manual intervention.

Roles table:
Orders table.
Now Orders tables has 3 countries, US, UK, canada and Roles table has which country data accessed by which user.
Now based on user login to the report Orders table data has to be filtered with RLS.
How to do that?
As of now i dont have any relationship between these 2 tables.

For example, I have a table visual in the report, can a user click on the header and export the data behind it to a CSV?
