I have several reports pinned to a Dashboard. I was pinning a Text box that was on the report for a long time. Starting with reports I published yesterday, I was no longer able to Pin a text box. When I hover over the text box, nothing popps up. Anyone else having this issue?

Auto transferring dataset connections to a new capacity/gateway
Recently purhcased a second P1 becuase my gateway cluster of 4 systems is getting overloaded. I want to migrate some users to the new P1 and associated gateway, but wondering if there is a way to automagically migrate their dataset connections so that I don't have to manually re-enter them into the new gateway cluster. Anyone have experience with this?
**Additional info, added a second P1 rather than upgrading to a P2 because we have some connectors that only run on 2016 server, and our first p1 gateway is running on a 2019**

Forecast function disappear after publishing the report to web
Dear all,
I have been working on a report and added functionality of forcasting. The functionality was working pretty well within the desktop version, however, once after I pulish to workspace, the forecasts disappear. Even when I tried to add it back within the workspace, it doesn't work (I could see the forecast option, click add, there is then no reaction).
Anyone else facing the same issue? Would it be possible to caused by license (I have pro-license but not premium license)?

Is there any way to use Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) when connecting to Azure SQL Database from PBI Service with on-premises data gateway?
On admin portal, I can't find AAD Authentication in data source settings.

Analysis Services Local Gateway
Hello,
I have been trying to add an Analysis Services data source to my gateway in the power bi service with no success. When I go to Settings->Manage Gatways, I see the Gateway as "Online: You are good to go" with a green checkmark. When I try to add the source, here is the error message that I get:

I went through all the troubleshooting and setup guides that I could find online, and here are the things that I verified:
1) The local gateway on the machine hosting the SSAS server runs the diagnostics tests successfully, meaning that all port and firewalls are setup correctly.
2) I can create and publish dashboards with Power BI Desktop that use this Analysis Services server as a data source without any issues.
3) The machine hosting the data source is joined to a domain, and that's the active directory domain I use with the power bi service to register users. The AD user I am using to sign-in to the gateway is an admin of the Analysis Services server.
4) I am using the latest version of the gateway.
5) I even tried changing the gateway service account to the same AD user that is an admin on the server, but that did not help.
6) Interestingly, when I intentionally enter the wrong password when adding the datasource, I get an error message saying "The on-premises data gateway's service account failed to impersonate the user." which leads me to conclude that the service is able to contact the gateway and authenticate successfully.
I am really out of ideas at this point, can anyone please help?

Filter with dates; yes or no

I need your support. I've got a list of customers and contact dates (from Salesforce). I want to filter in the way, that every customer with a contact date gets a "yes" and every customer withour contact date gets a "no" in a new column.
How do I get this done?

Group 'other' in TopN
Hi all,
Im new to DAX and would like som help with this task that i think should be easy but i can´´t get my head around it.
I would like to create a piechart with top 5 products based on a measure and then group the rest of the products into 'Other'
Product
Product 1 10
Product 2 20
Product 3 40
Product 4 30
Product 5 50
Product 6 60
Product 7 70
Measure: COUNT ( OrderID)
Expected result: Product 3-7 with product name and value, and 'others' with sum of 30 ( product 1 + product 2)
Product 3 40
Product 4 30
Product 5 50
Product 6 60
Product 7 70
Other 30
I tried RANKX(product, CALCULATE(COUNT(OrderID)) and got the rank value, but now i don´t know how to produce the 'other' group and visualize it together with the other products.
I´m using Direct query.

Guest users cant access the app (In Premium capacity)
We have some guest users.
We added the guest users to our security groups
And we have an app.
We added the Security group to the app but they cant see or install the app
We also tried just adding them into the app and we had exactly the same issue
I have checked the tenant settings and they allow us to share apps to guest users so thats not an issue
Is there anything Im missing to check?

Accessing data using APIs
I am working on my first Power BI report. I have successfullt published it. I have aslo installed a gateway and configured it. The report shows a few records from a single sql table. The server is installed locally. So far, everything works. Now I want to get real data into my report using an api request. These APIs are token protected, so in order to use them I need to obtain a token first and then attach it to every api call. Is there a strategy for that in Power BI?

Power BI reports - real world implementation
Here is what I so far understand. I am creating reports and publisning them on Azure cloud. These reports are using on-prem data so I have a gateway installed on the development machine. How that is going to work for a client? Will they have to install a gateway on every user box? How am I going to configure every client's gateway on my cloud space? Please share some ideas.

Dataset Refresh taking too long
Hi,
I have multiple Datasets' refreshes that are taking way too long (3 to 4 hours).
Refresh average is 12min for each of my datasets, so this is a first in my case.
Is there a way to stop or cancel a refresh?
Any help would be appreciated.

Issues accessing app connected to external dataset with RLS
Hello! Here is my scenario:
We have a working app today that's built from a dataset and dashboard reports that all reside on a single workspace. We've been working to implement a couple of items:
- Separating our dataset from our dashboards/reports, so the dataset can be centralized and used by multiple other projects.
- Implementing row level security into our model
Last night we attempted to make this switch over. Here is what the new set-up looked like:
- Workspace 1 has our dataset, which we recently implemented row level security. Two security levels:
- Filter by user role
- No Filtering
- Report published to Workspace 2, connected to dataset from Workspace 1
- Both workspaces have been upgraded to the new version
- All users are internal to the org
- Users don't have direct access to the workspace
- When publishing the app, all app users were added under Permissions=>Access
- After publishing, I had access to the app but users said they didn't. One screen shot show the left menu loaded, but no dashboard report links were listed under the top-level menu.
I tried two things to resolve the issue:
- These users should have full access to the data and I realized I had not added them to either role. So, I added them to the "No Filter" role. That didn't seem to resolve the issue.
- Another user sent me a screenshot and the error said they must have permission to the underlying dataset. So, I checked this box here and re-promoted the app.
I figured the combination of these two updates would resolve the issue but users still said they couldn't access the reports. The two changes above were both made pretty quickly so I'm also wondering if maybe I didn't give it enough time for these changes to propogate, as we ended up rolling back the changes shortly after these two updates above were made and users said they still couldn't access the reports.
I noticed that once I rolled back these updates and restored their App back to the original set-up (imbedded dataset with no RLS and all on one workspace) users initially still couldn't access the app but after about five minutes it started working. So, this made me think that maybe I just pulled the plug too quickly on the original two changes I had made, trying to get the new set-up working. Did I miss something else with the set-up of the new app structure or did we just pull the plug too quickly on these changes?

Export data on show point data as table section not available in web view
Hi,
I am owner a report and publish it. I can see show point data and I am able to export data on all graph except 1.
one column graph, I can see show point data as table. however, Export data section is not available. there is nothing for export it.
I have checked the admin portal for export data section and also report settings on desktop. everything seems ok. however still cant export it on the one report.
Is there any possible reason for it?

Data refresh problem.
I have a pbix file that was refreshing normally sur desktop designer, but fails with the following error when online, whether manual or schedueled refresh. I've gone through every query in the file and there are no errors - all queries will refresh preview just fine, which is usually where I can find a sneaky error hiding.
