I am trying to publish report to https://app.high.powerbigov.us/home and using my gov cloud account. But the power BI desktop shows "Signup for Power BI Account" message after providing gov account details.
I am able to signin https://app.high.powerbigov.us/home using browser but Power BI Desktop shows this message.

Hi,
I am unable to refresh the report published in the Power BI service as it throws up errors. I am able to connect the Postgres database with PBI desktop and am able to refresh it from the desktop. However, after publishing it online ,it doesn't refresh
normally even after I've entered the credentials and other details.

My company have 34 properties (34 hotels). We user SAP ERP to record accounting entry for all these properties. Our accounting data is centrailized and stored on Amazon cloud.
Our policy do not allow each property can see data of other property because business confidential information.
Before, we use SAP BI and end user at 34 property is established data area they can access when they sign in to SAP BI. But I can not do that on PowerBI. PowerBI only support Row level security on webservice. User can not be set up to download report in Powerbi because if they have "contributor" role on workspace, they can download report in term of pbix file and they can see all data of other property. The reporter at all property complain so much about which they can not access to their own data to make report by themselve and want to have something like SAP BI can do.
It is important that it is nightmare and go against with data storage development of human if we seperate our centralized data only due to funtion of powerbi can not make authorization to data source l

I've published an on-premise ssas db through Power BI desktop. To do this I opened Power BI Desktop on the server where the DB is hosted, so I connected to a local server.
When I log in I can access this published dataset, it connects successfully using the on premise gateway.
However, when I try to access the published dataset through Power BI desktop on another computer using the Power Platform and Power BI Datasets it fails to connect saying "No such host is known."
I think the issue is simply that I published the dataset from the server where the db is hosted, and Power BI Online manages the connection using the Gateway, but accessing the dataset using the desktop version doesn't use the gateway?
Can anyone advise if there's a workaround for this, or how I should go about doing this?

We have created a Report with UK Date time 20/02/2020
However when it moves across to Service the visual displays US 02/20/2020
If you add it to a table its fine and comes out as 20 February 2020
The visual used is a slicer. Has anyone else had this issue at all? Not sure how to resolve it at the minute
The Power BI data is held in Ireland so this should be fine for UK dates and times

in the webversion of a report slicers disappear. These are date slicers. Also the cards representing the relevant dates are empty.
Can anyone help?

Hope every one are protecting yourself from Corona Virus by following guidelines and keep yourself safe .
I have few data flows created recently in my organization . For one data flow, i refreshed it on 13th March to understand how fast it refreshes data. However, memory is being used on every day for this data flow. I have attached screen shot below . COuld you please check and let me understand why resources are used even if i do not refresh this data flow.

I cant seem to solve this problem for days, nothing that I try works. I tried to refresh the dataset countless times but always the same error.
The error message is an absolute abomination and doesn't help at all. The only sensible information is: "The key didn't match any rows in the table" but it's not really helpful either...
Everything works flawlessly in the desktop version but always fails on the online service...

1) Template App link – If you send the link to access a workspace to a client, can they forward this on to other non-customers. If yes does this mean that there is no protection?
2) Can customers be charged for a template app from the app store and if so what are the terms and conditions?
3) There is a 7 day approval process by Microsoft before it is displayed on the app store. Is there a list of the requirements to satisfy this approval process?
4) Can clients be stopped from seeing the table relationships / filters within a report?

Hello! I have set up incremental refresh on a few of the larger tables in my dataset, and it's working as expected. I expected other tables in my dataset that do NOT have incremental refresh set up to refresh as normal, but it does not appear that they are being refreshed at all.
Is this the expected behavior? And if so, are there any suggestions for using incremental refresh on some tables, while still refreshing others as normal?

Hello,
A pro-license user shared a report with me. Whenever I click on the link I get to the Home-page with 1 report (I have no license).
Whenever I click on the report there is no response. It seems not to interact.
1 month ago I was able to click on the link and got redirected to the report immediately, now I go to the home-page first and the report doesnt seem to interact at all.
Hopefully someone knows what is happening.

I've read several messages on this topic but it seems as if things have changed over time and I'm not sure if there are other solutions available. I have a PBI pro license. I share reports that I have created with several users via a premium workspace. Users are able to interact with the reports I publish, but they don't have the option to pin tiles to dashboards or right click for the option to analyze the data. Do all users have to have a pro license for these options? Is there another way that I should be sharing to enable these options?

I just need an overview of this Project APP to App:powerbi relationship. My project manger has tasked me with updating and mainting this report attached:
My question still is where is the data coming from? How is the data captured and updated specifically? Is it through the project web app or the project professional desktop version or some other location?
I connected the report to my PowerBi Desktop (due to seemingly not being able to customize anything with the app.powerbi portfolio dashboard stock report) and on the left hand side I am unable to see the data in spreadsheet or a model view which almost seems like Project is acting as acube? Or maybe a PWA database?
My question is where is the data coming from and how can I see that. She also says that she has added some enteprise data fields on the project side that she would like to be added into this app.powerbi potforlio dashboard but I am unable to see any data other than whats being seemingly pulled in automatically from an unknown location.

I have uploaded a report with a dataset consisting of various Excel files in different folders (via obtain Data -> Excel).
Also, I have installed a On-Premises Data gateway in a server, where I have configured all the different Excel files as datasources.
However, when I try to configure automatic update, in the Data gateway menu, I only see one of the various data sources (image below).
I would swear that a few days ago I had all the data sources listed here, but I can't see why this has changed.
Any ideas?

Does the emailed image from a subscription always show the default filters/slicer selection? Is there a way for it to show the users "persistent filter" that they left the report on or is there any way to customize the image differently for users or for a different subscription? I'd like to not have to create a different report for a different email. Yes I know that the user can open up the report to see their selected filters but when users are on the go and just want to check their emails it's a problem. Any help/answer would be appreciated.
I am not able to download a report from the power bi service. I know the file size is too huge.
Is there a way to download the report?
I have searched for a while, and tried a number of recommendations, but cant seem to find an answer that works for me. Hopefully someone here can help.
Here is the scenario:
I have a site where my users register with their own email address (hotmail, gmail, company, etc) and are then able to access reporting inside of my site.
Historically, I have been building bootstrap reporting into PHP pages. The results are nice looking but turnaround time for new reports is less than ideal and the complexity of reports has been increasing.
Enter PowerBI. Not quite as pretty but I can now turn around new reports with a higher level of complexity quite quickly.
Using PowerBI "Embed"/"Publish to web (public)" I have Embedded the report into my PHP page with minor seams (not seamlessly by any means) but I don’t like the risk of exposing the data outside. It also isn't allowing my users to easily download their data.
I tried using PowerBI "Embed"/"Website or portal" but it seems to want the user authenticated in PowerBI. If I signed into my site I could see the embedded report load but if I did an "In Private" session and didn't first log into PowerBI I couldn't see the report. I don’t want to make my users have another method of authentication in order to see the reports.
I have tried putting the report in a "My workspace" and in a custom Workspace. I have also made sure the "Tenant settings" for "Publish to web" are set to "Enabled…".
I did the thing where I create an app, which you then approve to use the data. I wish I could remember where I did that but it also didn’t seem to help.
I activated the "Pro trial" thinking maybe that had something do with it but haven't really gotten any further. Maybe I dont even need the Pro license.
My assumption would be that I could get a code, or code snippet, that would then use a token to authenticate my approved page/site with PowerBI. The report would then render based on the page token/auth, not that of my user (who doesn’t have anything to do with PowerBI).
I am guessing me using PHP might be part of the challenge here but I am sure someone else has been through this.
What am I missing? Is anyone able to help or direct me to an article I missed?
