Couldn't load the model schema - Publishing report using Azure AnalysisServices with live connection
When I am trying to publish a Report connecting to Azure analysis services with live connection as a datasource.I see report published as successful but I am seeing the following error "Couldn't load the model schema associated with this report. Make sure you have a connection to the server, and try again" when I am trying to open the report or dataset published in cloud.
Please help me to resolve this issue.

Power BI publisher for Excel not working
Hello,
Starting this morning I and a few users cannot connect to Power BI in Excel using Power BI publisher for Excel. When trying to connect, Excel starts to not respond and eventually times out into a "Failed to authenticate with Azure Active Directory HRESULT: CAA82EE2
Exception Details: The following system error occurred: (The request has timed out.)." error.
So far i've tried multiple computers with multiple different users. I've uninstalled and re-installed the add-in. I've rebooted my computer and i've tried multiple networks (inside and outside of the corporate network). I know my password is correct.
Anyone else experiencing this issue/have any ideas?

Approving access requests
Having issues with people requesting access to a PBI published to a group workspace. I am receiving the mails when requests are made, but when I click on the "Approve Access" button, no name is being populated in the browser (using edge as default, tried chrome as well with same results). Used to be that the user name would be auto populated. I can manually key in user names, but when there are duplicates I do not know which user requested access as there is no other details than a name in the e-mail that is sent, no alias. Also, I typically do not see any pending requests at the bottom of the access tab either. Again, I used to see those, but now they are gone.
Any suggestions?

Selling PowerBI Dashboard access

I'm not really sure if this kind of post fits this forum 
I work for a small company and we are currently trying to figure out if we could sell PowerBI dashboard access to our customers.
We are currently developing dashboards for different customers and we need to move to a cloud platform, our main idea is to create a common portal where they can access and only be able to view their data (Maybe assigning security by group)...
I'm not really sure if this could be possible with PowerBI as fas I know you create the PowerBI access for your company and you can add users under your domain, not really sure if you could add users from different domains and pay for their access.

Sharepoint online file datasource refresh is failing
I have a Power BI file that is using Excel file on Sharepoint as data souces. When I refresh the dataset from Power BI desktop, it goes through without any problem but the refresh for the file published on the Power BI service fails with "Edit Credentials" message.
When I try to add my creds using OAuth, I get the following error : "AADSTS90015: Requested query string is too long.
what is happening?

but, i want to increase the size of the rotating cirle (for viewing cleary).
if Power BI does not support customizing it, i want to not show it (just display gray frames until all loaded)

Enterprise Gateway & Auto refresh with Amazon Athena-ODBC Connection
Hi,
We are exploring an option to connect to Amazon Athena using Power BI to build some reprots. Seems like we can do that in Power bi using ODBC conenction. Few questions:
- Is it possible to publish the report and set up auto refreshes?
- Are there any challenges setting up Enterprise Gateway for ODBC connections (to Athena)?
- Any overall challenges for report, filters, I should be aware of?
Would appreciate more insights.

Power BI service refresh without Office 365
Hi all,
I have power bi pro account but doesn't have Office 365 pro account.
In PBI Desktop, when I created a report via Microsoft Exchange Online, I can refresh data easily, but I fail to refresh data when published to PBI Service, and get an error message "credentials are invaild"(as per figure 1), even though I edited credentials and chose OAuth2, it still show the same error(figure 2).
I tried to create a new account for an Office 365 E3 trial and things go smoothly.
Is there any other ways that I can refresh data from outlook in PBI Service and without using Office 365 pro?

Biztalk on premise datagateway
Hey everyone !
I've been having trouble with my Biztalk 2016 server and have been trying to troubleshoot this issue for a couple of weeks now.
Whenever i try to configure the gateway i get the error that "The gateway has been configurered correctly but there are local connectivity issues". Hence the local
I've been using the troubleshoot guide for the gateway and i'm 100% sure all the ports and domains are reachable. The network test integrated inside the configurator also comes back with 64/64 succesfull tests.
I've been setting the Gateway up on a local VM inside the same network and there everything seems to work fine. So i don't think there is any outbound/incoming tcp/http ports or domains blocked. (i also opened up all the neccesary ports). I guess it must be something machine related.
Did anyone else have this issue ?
Please come at me with Hints/Tips on how i could fix these so called local connectivity issues.

How to set alerts automatically?
I have created a dashboard for Power BI Mobile with 50 card tiles. Each card indicates an "alarm" for a factory machine.
I was planning to use the alert feature to send notifications to users, but the problem is that each user has to setup all 50 alerts manually.
Is there a way to set alerts automatically in the design phase?
Or is there a workaround?
Can I use a "Power BI master account" together with Flow to generate the notifications?

Enterprise On-Premise Gateway 'Not configured correctly'
Hello, I have found several topics about this but they have not solved my problems.
I have a connection to an Excel file on our file server. When I configured the Gateway, I made a few tries that did not work, until I finally got it right.
When I click on Test all connections, I get a green light, but when I try to set the Gateway connection,I get the message that the Gateway is 'Not configured correctly'. Opening the details, I can see that my prior mistakes are still in there, causing the problems.
I have tried to add them and then delete them. I have deleted the Dataset and uploaded it again, and I have deleted the whole Gateway and re-installed it, but they still keep showing up..... Does anyone know how to permanently get rid of them?

Powerbi Licensing and Sharing Content
Hello,
Could someone pls suggest me the Licensing model and the best way for sharing the Reports/Dashboards for the below requirement.
We have 100s of clients for whom we need to provide a set of standard and customized reports. We have a variety of data sources like databases, API sources, files, XML etc. We should be able to update the report content and upon publishing the same should reflect across all the clients. The clients would all be part of different organizations and may/may not have PowerBI Pro licenses.
1. Can App workspace suffice my requirements ? Or should I go for PowerBI Premium or a combination of these licenses. We have a team of 4-6 Report developers who should all have Edit access.
2. How do I control Security/Authorization for reports?
3. Can I use PowerBI solution templates if I use App workspaces ?
4. Do I need any specific PowerBI licenses to connect to data sources with Live connection ?
5. Through PowerBI App workspace, can I share reports to clients on different Tenant/Domain ?

Dashboard tiles are not refreshing
Hi folks,
Since a while my tiles are not refreshing, eventhough I am refreshing the tiles and when you go to the dashboard, it shows the last update of data. I have to delete the tiles and pin all again.

Slicer Missing Items from Dropdown List After Published to Power BI services
Hello everyone, I finished my Report in PC client, everything was alright. But after I published it to the Power BI service, there are few items are missing from Slicer dropdown list. If I selected that missing item before published it, that item will be the default value in the Slicer on Power BI web, all graphs are showing correctly, but that item still missing from the dropdown list. Anyone have the solution? Thanks!
