I am thinking about the companies that have Power BI Premium per user, I would like to know if this approach make sense or in with cases it would make sense:
This license is designed for organizations that mainly require more storage, more updates, data flow, and some AI features. Price increase in April: $20 to $24.
Since most of these features are already included in Fabric, we could consider downgrading to Power BI Pro.
In this way, we could propose Fabric with the same benefits as the previous scenario—i.e., all the Fabric experiences, Dataflow 2, Direct Lake, etc.—but at a lower price. How?
For example, if the company wants to work with 50 users and use premium features in Power BI (like data flow + advanced AI, etc.), they can get 50 PPU licenses at a cost of 50 x $24 = $1.2K per month. However, if the company opts for an F2 plus 50 Pro users, the total cost will be $264 + $700 = $964 per month. This way, the total cost is lower, and the company can use the same Power BI premium features that are included in fabric plus more Microsoft Fabric tools.
thanks in advance
