Execute Power bi Fabric Pipeline by rest api
Hey,
I'd like to execute Power BI pipeline on demand using a rest api.
The pipeline type I'm referring to is described here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/data-factory/create-first-pipeline-with-sample-data
I've only found info how to use rest api against deployment pipelines or old fabric data factory one, but none of that seems relevant for this type of pipeline.
On this thread https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Data-Pipeline/Execute-Data-Pipeline-Via-API/m-p/3740462#M2034 at the end I've found this info from April: "Unfortunately fabric Data pipeline APIs have yet not been exposed owining to which it is currently not possible to trigger the fabric data pipeline any way other than manual process or scheduled trigger".
Can anyone confirm that is the case? if so is there any schedule on releasing api for this?

Creating a connection through gateway issue
Hello,
I tried to create a connection to our database on our SQL server, but without success.
I already have one connection through that gateway. The only thing that is different is the database name and it is working without a problem. I updated the gateway yesterday to rule that out, but did not help.
I am not sure if permissions inside of PBI service can play a role whether I can or cannot create a connection?
Not sure what more info to give so feel free to ask.

Issue with colors in PBI Service
Hello,
since last Tuesday I identify that some colors are changed in the PBI reports. As the attached image shows, the colors in the Desktop (bottom image) are correctly shown but not in the PBI service (top image).
Does anyone have any idea of what it is happening?

Refresh Failed
Hi
I added some new sources to a previously working Power BI report (all web based links). They all refresh when done manually but the scheduled refreshes have now started to fail. I think I have to do something with the credentials but the Data Source Credentials is grayed out. I have seen loads of suggestions, but in all honesty it is just confusing me more...Help please!

Unable to cancel Power BI Pro Subcription

I have been trying to cancel my Power BI Pro Subcription for a while. I currently pay $9.99/month billed to my credit card. Since I no longer use this subscription. I tried cancelling through microsoft 365 admin centre. When I cancel it shows as below
So I tried to let the license expire instead and encountered the following error

Error Creating Cloud Connection to AWS RDS SQL Server in Power BI Service
Hello Power BI Community,
I’m trying to set up a cloud connection in Power BI Service for my report that connects to an AWS RDS SQL Server instance. I successfully published the report from Power BI Desktop, but I encounter the following error when trying to create a cloud connection for scheduled refresh:

Unable to create connection for the following reason: We could not access the data source. Please make sure you have permission to access the data source and that your credentials are correct.
Details:
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - The wait operation timed out.)
```
Here’s how I’ve set up the connection:
- Connection Name: AWS RDS
- Connection Type: SQL Server
- Server: [MASKED SERVER NAME],5433
- Database: [MASKED DATABASE NAME]
- AuthenticationMethod: Basic
- Username: [MASKED USERNAME]
- Password: [MASKED PASSWORD]
- Encrypted Connection: Yes (Encrypted)
- Privacy Level: Organizational
Could someone help me understand what might be going wrong, or if I’m missing something in the configuration?

Fabric roadmap for sovereign clouds

Please, can you tell me what is the roadmap for integrating Microsoft Fabric in sovereign clouds ?
As Fabric has generated a great interest among many customers, and will undoubtedly be a driving force for the Microsoft brand, I would like to hope that you will take the necessary steps to provide this service on sovereign clouds, so as not to force us to opt for other vendors, because we won't have a choice.

Embedding Reports have different behaviors when asking for log in using iframes
Hello,
when I open one report using the direct embed url in my browser it keeps my session logged for a long time, but it's a different behavior when I use the same url in a iframe, it asks me for log in after 1 hour being so annoying when working in multiple tasks.
Does anybody know why this behavior works like this or if it's possible to change those times that asks for log in when using iframes?

Unable to create connect to data source.
Hello All,
Got this error when i connected to a gateway created. My data source is a all spreadsheet located in shared drive and gateway installed in some other server and it was successful. but am getting this error when I try to establish a new connection via my gateway.
Unable to create connection for the following reason: Unable to connect to the data source. Either the data source is inaccessible, a connection timeout occurred, or the data source credentials are invalid. Please verify the data source configuration and contact a data source administrator to troubleshoot this issue.
Details: Metrics_QA (gateway name): Could not find a part of the path

Can't create new org app preview feature with Power BI Premium
Hello, I have a problem with the new fabric item Org app. Our company does not have Fabric licence but we have Power BI premium licence.
It was my impression that Power BI Premium and Fabric licence have the same set o features the users can use. For example I am able to create fabric items witout problem. But this new item I cannot create and I am prompted to swith to Fabric trial capacity.
So my question is. Shouldn't I be able to create an Org app with a Premium licence? Thank you.

Capture KPI value at the time of daily data refresh
For a client, the Power BI dashboard will go live soon and hence we are looking for a mechanism to maintain audit-trail of the KPI values and need some quick way to do it.
e.g. Say, on 25/Sep, there were 10k orders and 9K were processed straight-through, we are reporting Order Success Rate as 90%; but there will an alert to the application teams to look into records stuck in their systems; once they reprocess, that KPI will improve - but we will not have original value to report the improvement.
So theoretically, we thought of capturing the KPI value at the time of daily data refresh - so we know the original state of the refresh, something like the following table. Anyone has any idea how we can execute it?

Error message "Sorry... We couldn't find the column “msdyn_intent” in the table"
Hello, for a 2 days now, I get this notification:
Failure details: The last refresh attempt failed because of an internal service error. This is usually a transient issue. If you try again later and still see this message, contact support.
<ccon>Expression.Error: The column 'msdyn_intent' of the table wasn't found.. msdyn_intent. </ccon>. The exception was raised by the IDbCommand interface. Table: incident.
The thing is that I searched in the dataverse table "Incident" and there is no column "msdyn_intent".
I went in the BI original query, even reimported the data table and searched for this column and it is nowhere to be found.
Anyone has an idea on how to solve this issue?

This started since I have updated and improved the gateway.

Refresh Teams and in Sharepoint

I published a report in Teams and in Sharepoint.
After refreshing the report, the data in Teams is displayed up-to-date (it is updated without refreshing the page), but nothing happens on the SharePoint page (365). Here I have to reload the page Manuel to get current values.

BC connector to a different tenant, is it possible ?

We have Business Central Cloud.
A part of our operations is made by another company, with their AAD domain, but they do those operations on our Business Central. The users are setup in our domain to be able to access what they need to acces. So far so good.
They are trying to setup a PowerBI report to track performance and they managed to use the BC connector to get the data from our domain using the "advanced" sign-in method where you can specify the domain you want to connect to.
But when they publish the report and attempt to refresh it, they get an error saying that the BC company is impossible to find, as if the report is trying to look into their BC environnement instead of ours.
I cannot find documentation on how to properly set-up everything so the published report works as expected.
Is it even possible for a Power BI hosted on one domain to connect to a BC environement in another domain ? And if not, what would be the recommended way of achieveing this ?
