How to make a write back function?
I want to make a write-back function for commenting as I need to store them in the system. Like if I publish an inventory analysis report and users make comments on it.I want to store the comments who liked who commented when they commented and what date and time it was. Is it possible to get this type of history if I publish it online and the people who made the comments it store their data in my ERP system or any excel file if I export it?

I have a report that uses the Google Maps API, everything is working, however IT needs to restrict the use of the key to the report. We tried using the restriction: https://app.powerbi.com/* and it doesn't work. Do you have any idea?

PBI Memory Consumption and Refresh Problem.
The problem is :-
We are presenting PBI dashboards on many screens for our visitors and auditors, so we cannot stop it. Now the problem is it takes a lot of time to refresh and sometines the data crashes. The data is in sql form, it is a live data so it is continuously updated. Due to which our pbix file size has become greater than 400mb and is still increasing. Is there any by which we can reduce its memory consumtion to 100mb or even lesser, but we cant compromise with any data or visualizations i.e. is we can't delete any sthing. Can we reduce the data size, optimize it and reduce its refresh time.

color differents from desktop to power bi service
Hi i created dax measure to have some colors on my table. I have the red, green and orange as you can see on my desktop dashboard but when i publish in service, i just see the green and the red but not the orange one as you can see on the last picture. Does anybody knows what's matter?

Power BI Refresh Dataset API quota reset window for Pro users
What timezone is this 24 hours window ? Is it rolling from the first API refresh call? Since there is no Semantic model refresh schedule, there is is no timezone specified in semantic model. For Scheduled refresh, I know we have the option to select timezone and that same timezone is used for resetting the refresh quota. Any thoughts?
I have already checked this post but it has no mention of when the API refresh quota is reset.

Hi ,
For context, I am using web api's as data sources to my report. When I refresh the data source from local , the data refreshes and it loads the latest data. But when I publish the semantic model in the workspace, the data source credentials gets greyed out and it shows the following error message
Scheduled refresh is disabled because at least one data source is missing credentials. To start the refresh again, go to this dataset's settings page and enter credentials for all data sources.
How to proceed with the error ? I tried republishing the semantic model multiple times but it still seems to not work.

Simple Image visual imported from AppSource not supporting for export option
Hi Community..!!
I have used Simple Image visual to display logo dynamically which is converted logo into Base64 format.
I have uploaded that report in power bi workspace and exported into PowerPoint format.
But simple image is not supporting for export option.

Semantic Models - Confused by learn.microsoft.com
On this learn.microsoft page , a semantic model is defined as follows:
Each semantic model represents a single source of data. For example, the source could be an Excel workbook on OneDrive, an on-premises SQL Server Analysis Services tabular dataset, or a Google Analytics dataset.
While not necessarily incorrect, isn't this a misleading way to define a semantic model? A semantic model could be from a single excel workbook, but it could also be from a multiple excel workbooks, a smartsheet, a snowflake database, and a sharepoint all at once. In my mind, a semantic model does not represent a single source of data, it rather represents a single data model. Or am I missing something?

How to streamline version updates across multiple client workspaces in Power BI?

I need help improving our company's process with Power BI. Here is our current workflow:
We use Power BI Online Service as a solution for our clients. Each client has their own workspace. Within each client workspace, there are two dataflows:
- ERP flow, which queries the client's ERP system through Microsoft's gateway.
- API flow, which queries our portal's API for client-specific information.
Both flows are scheduled to update multiple times a day, handling data treatment and processing. Additionally, each client has their own dataset, which receives data from the ERP and API flows, processes and transforms this data (e.g., creating new tables), and ultimately feeds the respective report comprising various dashboards. Therefore, each client workspace contains four artifacts: ERP flow, API flow, dataset, and reports.
So far, so good. However, our main challenge is the version update process, which includes bug fixes, new dashboards, and new functionalities. Currently, we have to manually update the artifacts for each client workspace one by one. We have optimized many tasks via API (such as importing dataflows, PBIX files, scheduling updates, updating parameters, etc.), but the process remains quite labor-intensive and slow.
My question is: Using Microsoft's tools (whether Power BI, Fabric, or Azure), is there a way to streamline this operation? Given that the structure of the ERP flow, API flow, dataset, and reports is the same for all clients (only the queries differ in the ERP flow and company parameters in the API flow), is there a way to update the structure for all clients at once?
Our number of clients is rapidly increasing (which is excellent), but it's becoming increasingly challenging to sustain our version update process. Any guidance on how to address this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Cannot Connect to Semantic Model
I've modelled and published a data model to my power BI account
However, when I try to use the semantic model as a data source for a new report, I get this error message:
At first, I tought this had to do with connection settings as the model connects to databases in SQL Server and ElasticSearch. However, after setting up the gateway I still got the error.
I then made a test with a second data model, with a simple excel file, and got the same error when trying to connect to it.
I'm using the same company account. In previous jobs I had successfully built this process without errors.
Is there any additional setting I need to configure in order to connect?

Merge / Join is skipped rows
I have two tables which are merged in a dataflow and output as a new table:
- 1. table: Data is grouped here and I get the last sales date per item.
- 2nd table: This is a table with master data.
Using a join, I add the last sales date to the 2nd table and output this query as a new table.
For whatever reason - probably because there is a lot of data - individual articles are probably skipped. If I shorten the 2nd table, I get all the data.
Does anyone have any idea how I can continue to get an effective join? Is it possible to add a buffer for a few seconds?

Scorecard: Users can't leave/save Note in Check-in History
Hi everyone!
Writing this post as we can't figure out the reason why Users with View permissions can't post/save a Note in the Check-In History of the various Metrics.
The Users have been provided with the respective permissions in the "Role setting" of the Scorecard (they "Can view all metrics" + "Can update all metrics"), as well as added to the Workspace with Viewer role. They can access and view the content, everything works fine except for the mentioned functionality.
The Permissions granted are the following: View + Notes.
The other ones (Current + Status) are currently not selected / granted.
The Status code of the error message is "401". We, the Admins, can leave and save Notes.

Why RANKX doesn't working on decimal value ?

When I have these kind of data :
As per picture, I have now some rank which is duplicate (same rank). Altough my rank now "looking" at my column "news count decimal" which is basically have 2 different decimal value if we look at row 1 and 2.
I currently using this DAX :

New to PowerBI Service: Snowflake integration question
Hi, we are building out out data warehouse on Snowflake, but hosted by AWS not Azure. I have not been able to get a clear answer as to 1) how can Power BI cloud integrate with Snowflake on AWS (usa regions) and does this incur an egress data charge from AWS and 2) can we use SSO via a SAML 2.0 compliant service like Google or Jumpcloud to authenticate. We do not use any Azure service.
Or should we not consider PBI as our BI tool?
