Hello Power BI Community,
I recently integrated Git with my Power BI workspace using Azure DevOps. During this process, I encountered an issue where several long-published reports were unexpectedly deleted after I used the "Undo" option (there were 2 options - first is "Changes", Second is "Undo") in the Power BI Service. These reports had not been recently modified and were integral to our analytics.
**Context:**
- Integrated Git with Power BI workspace.
- Had three Power BI reports and three datasets in the workspace.
- Selected the "Undo" option and specified four out of six files, resulting in the deletion of the four selected files.
**Details:**
- All reports were originally published within the same workspace over the last 1-2 years.
- No recent updates were made to these reports before the deletion occurred.
- Power BI files was not synced nor updated on Git yet.
**Issue:**
- Clicking "Undo" unexpectedly deleted these files, despite them not being recently modified or flagged for changes.
**Questions for the Community:**
- Has anyone encountered a similar issue with the "Undo" function in Power BI after integrating with Git?
- What could be the possible reasons for such unexpected deletions?
- What steps can I take to recover these reports from Power BI.
- How can I prevent similar incidents in the future when using "Undo" or managing "Changes" in Power BI?
Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
