I am getting this interesting behavior with the Funnel Chart.
I have a small data set with 5 items that is perfect application for a Funnel Chart. The data set is as follows:
stage 1: 1300 patients
stage 2: 950 patients
stage 3: 450 patients
stage 4: 400 patients
stage 5: 350 patients
When I apply a Funnel Chart to the data set, I see the following:
1st horizontal bar (for stage 1) displays 1K
2nd horizontal bar (for stage 2) displays 1k
3rd horizontal bar (for stage 3) displays 0k
4th horizontal bar (for stage 4) displays 0k
5th horizontal bar (for stage 5) displays 0k
(Please note: when you hover with your mouse over a bar, the actual numbers from the data are accurately displayed.)
When I apply the Funnel Chart to the data set EXCLUDING stage 1 with 1300 patients, I see the following:
1st horizontal bar (for stage 2) displays 950
2nd horizontal bar (for stage 3) displays 450
3rd horizontal bar (for stage 4) displays 400
4th horizontal bar (for stage 5) displays 350
(Please note: when you hover with your mouse over a bar, the actual numbers match the data.)
Is there a problem with funnel charts when using numbers that are >1000 and <999 in the same chart?
Why not offer users the choice to display numbers that range from 0-999?
Thanks
Jeff
