Hi everyone,
I am currently exploring a strange issue in Power BI. I hope that anyone can help me out.
I manage a central dataset utilized across multiple dashboards. Access to this dataset is governed by user rights. Each department is assigned a group with read-only access, while I, as the administrator, have full rights.
Last week, I received a message from a user who reported that certain parts of their Power BI report were not visible. Specifically, some bars within a column chart were missing. As the administrator, I have full access and do not encounter this issue myself.
I already tested a few things:
* I created a test account with the same rights as the user who reported the issue. Despite being in the same access group, I do not experience the problem with my test account.
* I've also checked this in a private/incognito tab with my test account, but no issues here.
* I granted 'Write' rights to the user who reported the issue, and suddenly everything became visible as it should. However, I do not want users to have 'Write' rights, except for administrators. After revoking the 'Write' rights and setting them back to 'Read', everything became empty again.
* There are no filters enabled.
* I also republished the reports.
* We deleted the cache in the browser.
* There's no RLS and OLS enabled.
* Data is on Import-mode.
Does someone has an idea what could be happening here? And moreover, are there any other things I should try?
Thank you.
