New Column in Lakehouse Not Reflecting in Direct Lake Mode Semantic Model

I am using Direct Lake Mode in Power BI, where I have created a new semantic model based on a Lakehouse. This semantic model is then used to build Power BI reports.

However, when I add a new column to the Lakehouse, it does not automatically appear in the semantic model, even after refreshing it. The only way I can get the new column to show is by:

1. Going to Open Data Model > Edit Tables

2. Manually refreshing the schema

Only after performing this manual step does the new column become visible in the semantic model.

Question:

Is there a way to automate the schema refresh so that new columns added to the Lakehouse automatically appear in the semantic model without manual intervention?

Any insights or best practices would be greatly appreciated!
