"The Windows account you enter must be a member of the Server Administrator role on the Analysis Services instance you're connecting to. If this account's password is set to expire, users get a connection error unless you update the data source password"
I still do not find a satisfying answer other that "it needs it because it does not work with low priviledges".
I think this is quite strange because from the Desktop tool, we do not need this kind of high privilege. If you have any link to an official documentation it would be great 🙂
