Hi Everyone,
I am facing a data source access issue in some of my Power BI reports while using AtScale as a semantic layer on top of Snowflake, with a live connection to Power BI.
Scenario:
- The report is connected to Snowflake via AtScale in live mode.
- The report is published in Power BI Service and shared with multiple users.
- All necessary gateways are enabled and working.
- No permission restrictions exist in AtScale as of now, and users have Power BI Service access.
- The visuals used for all reports are table or matrix visuals.
Issue:
- Some users are unable to access the report and receive a data source access error, while others can view it without issues.
- The issue is inconsistent—some users with identical roles and access can see the report work fine, while others do not.
Troubleshooting steps tried:
- Deleting and republishing the report worked randomly for one user, but not others.
- Upgraded to F64 capacity and enabled large semantic model options, but the issue persists.
- Checked Gateway logs & connection settings – No issues found.
- Checked if affected users belong to a different Power BI workspace, security group, or role assignment – No differences found.
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on how to fix this issue? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
