Hoping someone can shed some light on this issue.
Over the past few days, we’ve experienced refresh failures on two specific reports when triggered via scheduled refresh, API (Power Automate), or manual refresh. What makes these reports different from others is that their ownership was recently transferred to a different user.
The new owner has the same credentials and permissions as the original owner, and ownership changes are quite common in our setup without issue. However, in this instance, some—but not all—refresh attempts have failed. The error message we’re receiving is:
DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_AdoNetProviderOpenConnectionTimeoutError
The new owner was also prompted to confirm their data source credentials again. However, when the original owner reassumed ownership, the refreshes worked without any problems.
We haven’t made any changes to our gateway, tenant, or data connections that would obviously explain this. I’ve searched online and through various AI tools, but nothing stands out as a clear cause.
Has anyone encountered this issue before or have any insights into what could be causing it?
