Switching from Free Embed Tokens to Power BI Embedded (A SKUs) - Do I Need to Keep PPU?

Hello Power BI Community,

I am currently using a Power BI Premium Per User (PPU) license and leveraging Dataflows for data collection. My reports are published in a PPU workspace, and I have been embedding them into a client’s application using free embed tokens. However, my embed token usage has reached 80% of the limit, and I am looking for a sustainable solution to continue embedding reports.

My Requirements:

1. Continue using Dataflows for data collection and transformation.

2. Embed reports in a client’s application without Pro/PPU licenses for end users.

3. Avoid limitations of free embed tokens by purchasing Power BI Embedded (A SKUs).

Questions:

1. If I purchase Power BI Embedded (A SKUs), do I still need to keep my PPU license for Dataflows?

2. Can I link reports from an A SKU workspace to Dataflows in a PPU workspace?

3. Should I create two separate workspaces (one for PPU and one for A SKUs) to meet my needs?

4. Are there any best practices for setting up Dataflows in a PPU workspace while using A SKU for embedding?

5. Would purchasing Fabric Capacity (F SKUs) be a better alternative instead of A SKUs + PPU?
