I have a semantic model that pulls in data from a PowerApp and is fed into 3 different PowerBI reports, these were all set up for me by my company, and I have since taken over the reports.
I now want to update the model to allow for additional columns to be added into some of the tables (these are being pulled directly from the data source already, I'm just updating the query to make them visible). I have managed to do this with changing the queries, but now I want to figure out how to get the new columns to appear in the reports themselves.
I did the changes with powerBI desktop, but the model exists in the workspace. Is it as simple as re-publishing the semantic model to the workspace in the same way you re-publish the report? I'm worried about affecting the data in the reports as one of them has some additional DAX queries which aren't part of the model that I don't want to overwrite!
