Hi,
I'm seeking advice on the best way to snapshot the current settings of slicers and visuals in Power BI. Our specific use case involves multiple users who want to share their views of a report with their peers.
1. Changing Colors of the Line Chart: It is crucial for us to distinguish between different data series by changing the colors of the line chart. Each user can set specific colors for the series they see fit.
2. Saving Views: I haven't found a way to save views where we change the color of a couple of series. The only method seems to be saving a new version/copy of the report, leading to an excessive number of reports just to save different coloring settings.
Current Workaround: Making a PDF of the desired state is a potential workaround, but it defeats the purpose of having interactive reports.
Ideal Solution: We would like to have a way to share slicer (data) and chart settings (e.g., coloring, axis range) via a link, without needing to save hundreds of different versions of the report. This approach would help avoid hitting the capacity limit of 1000 reports per workspace quickly.
Even more ideal: ability to also save user selections (i.e. which rows are being selected in data table or matrix and being able to snapshot this state).
Is there a better way to achieve this purpose, including chart settings in a snapshot? I noticed that even bookmarks do not save these settings (like series colors).
