I have a couple of questions about Power BI feature "Datamarts": At the present I have a customer with licensed capacity of "Fabric" (F2). The user I login with gets "free Fabric license" (but no Power BI license assigned), so I can create my lakehouses and models. But when try to add a item of type "Datamart (preview)", I get an error saying that I MUST get a paid Power BI license to create Power BI content. Actually, any "Power BI"-related content shows this error.
So, here are my questions:
- do I really need a Power BI license for "Datamarts" - even having a Fabric license and my workspace assigned to a fabric capacity?
- assume I take a trial license for Power BI and create a datamart in a "fabric"-based workspace. What will happen to that datamart when my trial license ends? Will it be running further, or will it be deleted?
I would appreciate any help and hints.
