Hi Everyone,

I have one development workspace called Fabric POC and integrated it with Azure devops for version control its working fine.  Mostly my team has BI Developers so they will be working on workspace browser level and even if data pipelines or notebooks can also be worked on browser level only right.

So I went through an article where if multiple people wants to work on shared workspace they can switch and create new branch and workspace based on current workspace.
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fabric/cicd/git-integration/manage-branches#develop-using-another-workspace

I tried creating it with existing branch like below

It is giving the below error can anyone help me in creating the new branch and workspace to switch from current workspace. So that each developer can work on their isolated work environment and changes can be merged back to the main branch later.

I went thorugh the troubleshooting steps page as well it is mentioned over there for this error, i gave folder as /fabric while integrating with azure repository also i dont see item.config.json and item.metadata.json in my repository will it be a problem.

(If the Git folder contains subdirectories, check that at least one of them represents an item directory. If the directory contains item.config.json and item.metadata.json files, it's an item directory. If the directory doesn't contain these files, it's a subdirectory. If the Git folder doesn't contain any item directories, you can't connect to it. Either remove the subdirectories or connect to a different folder that doesn't contain subdirectories.)

Did anyone faced this issue how to fix this error. Any idea how to resolve this issue appreciate your help.

Thanks 🙂
