Enterprise Gateway - How to have user credentials passed to data source?

So we are gearing up to install an enterprise gateway to connect from the PBI service to our on site Oracle databases.

I have been trying to wrap my head around things, but am a bit confused on a few items.

When we install an enterprise gateway, we specify a user account and credentials that would allow us to sign in to our Oracle databases.

And from what I read it sounds like if john.doe@microsoft.com signs in to a report, and refreshes the data or whatever - This request gets sent to the gateway BUT the gateway would be using the hard coded credentials during the initial set up and NOT the john.doe@microsoft.com user account.

It sounds like theres some kerberos authentication that can be used - But Im not quite sure what (at a high level) steps would be involved and was wondering if anyone can give some advice or insight on their experiences?

If we wanted to have the credentials of john.doe@microsoft.com passed through to the database, will we need to talk to our Azure AD admin to set some things up? And we would subsequently need to talk to our Oracle DBA's to also set up kerberos on the database side of things?

I guess Im trying to gauge at a high level what user groups we would need to get involved.
