Date showing as datetime in Workspace:Report

I have a desktop pbix with a date column that is formatted as date (only) m/d/yyyy.  It shows in that format everywhere in the desktop and main parts of it in PBI Service (Workspace:Report), but shows as m/d/yyyy hh:mm:ss AM/PM in the Decomposition tree. 

I can't find a place to change Decomposition tree formats.  Do date formats not apply to Decomposition trees?
