Hello all, hoping you can help me with an issue i'm having.
I have been using Power BI for a while now and haven't had any problems connecting to SQL Server using Get Data, building reports, publishing to service and setting up scheduled refresh.
In Power BI Desktop, I have succesfully connected to a folder on one drive for business (Get Data > Folder) to bring in excel files and connected it up to my data model, alongside existing data from SQL Server. However, in service, scheduled refresh does not work. Options within Scheduled Refresh are greyed out and data source credentials is greyed out completely.
I have the same problem when I connect to excel directly (Get Data > Excel). In all examples, I can refresh without issue in Desktop. So essentially my problem is that scheduled refresh does not work for me in service when using PBIX files that have excel as a datasource.
I was under the assumption that there would not be an issue, as long as the excel files are on onedrive. As you can see, I have a very simple setup, things just fail when excel is involved.
I have tried searching the forum and help files, and while there are similar posts, they do not match my exact problem. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
